ART at the World Trade Center

The World Trade Center is not just a hub of business; it’s also a vibrant showcase of contemporary art. Iconic works like Jenny Holzer’s For 7 World Trade—a powerful LED installation that scrolls moving text—and Christopher Carter’s Unity, found within the Oculus, are just a few examples of the art scattered across the campus. These pieces, along with murals, sculptures, and more, create an open-air gallery that adds depth to the WTC experience.

Beyond these public works, the WTC also fosters artistic talent through its Silver Art Projects residency program. Every year, 28 artists are given studio space on the 28th floor of 4 World Trade Center, where they can create while being supported by Silverstein Properties and connected to the broader art world. Artists like Mickalene Thomas and Tyler Mitchell have used these spaces to push boundaries and engage with New York's creative community.
