I got a look at the view from the 57th floor terrace of 4 World Trade Center, which officially opens Wednesday. But we got the official tour Monday.

The lobby is the largest by volume in New York City; it is 47 feet high from floor to ceiling. The black granite reflects the outside memorial plaza.

The titanium art structure looks like a perfect circle in the reflection, and moves ever so slightly. It also has the video art installations in the elevator corridors representing water, trees and sky.

Designed by renowned architect Fumihiko Maki, at 977 feet, 4 WTC will be first building to open on the 16-acre site of the World Trade Center. The building has 72 floors.

The lower half of Tower 4 is already leased out to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and the City of New York. Move in will begin next year.

The top half of the building has yet to be leased out. But with 360-degree views, it’s safe to assume companies will be lined up to get space, including the the 57th floor with terrace, which looks up at 1 World Trade Center and down upon the memorial plaza.
